How your location is found

This tool asks your browser for your position. Your device may use GPS, nearby Wi-Fi networks, mobile towers or your IP address, and the browser asks your permission before sharing it.

Accuracy

GPS on a phone is typically accurate to a few metres outdoors. Wi-Fi and mobile based positions can be off by tens or hundreds of metres, and IP-based positions only give a rough city area.

Privacy

• Nothing is shared until you click Allow.
• You can withdraw permission at any time in your browser site settings.
• Do not share exact coordinates publicly if you do not want people to find where you are.

If the result looks wrong

Turn on location services, move near a window, and try again. A VPN also makes the position wrong.
