Comparing two versions of a text
Paste an original and an edited version to see exactly what was added, removed or changed. It is useful for checking edits to contracts, essays, code, configuration files and copied content.
How to read the result
- Added text is highlighted in one colour and removed text in another.
- Unchanged lines stay plain so you can see the context.
Tips
- Compare matching versions of the same document, otherwise almost every line will differ.
- Extra spaces and line endings can show up as changes. Trim them first if you only care about the words.
- For sensitive text, remember that the comparison runs in your browser and is not sent to a server.
